Can I use an old voodoo card in a 1.5v AGP slot?

I am upgrading my parent's computer to a Asus A7S333. The manual states it only accepts 1.5v AGP cards. The card is a Diamond Monster
Fusion. Since both 3Dfx and Diamond have disappeared, I can't find any info on the card. Will it work?

Here is everything I can find about it so far:
[*]3Dfx Banshee Chipset
[*]AGP 1X Support
[*]16MB of 125MHz SGRAM
[*]250MHz RAMDAM
[*]Maximum Win95/98 Desktop resolution of 1920x1200x24bpp
[*]AVI and MPEG-1 Video Playback Support
[*]Both PCI and AGP versions available
[*]3D Features include Anti-Aliasing, Trilinear Filtering, Bump Mapping, and Sub-Pixel Correction Accuracy
[*]APIs Supported: Glide, D3D, OpenGL

Nope, sorry.... the old Voodoo Banshee core is 3.3V AGP only. It won't operate properly at AGP 1.5V specification.

Yes, it will work. If it physically fits, without you forcing it in, it will work. Don't worry about the voltage specs, they are mostly differences for AGP 1x, 2x, 4x.

Yes, I see why it's confusing. :)

But from MY experience, I've never really had a problem with this. I've ran into chipset problems of instability with some nvidia cards on VIA platforms but that's about it. I've built and tested over 3000 or 4000 systems in my work at a shop before, and never had this problem. I would say your about 99.9% safe with it.

Of course, the cards I've used most were Nvidia, ATI, S3, and SIS (bleh!)

Most slots are universal and accept either 1.5v or 3.3v. However, alot of P4 motherboards were 1.5v ONLY, hence no Voodoo's. I don't know what kind of CPU that board is for, but if it says only 1.5v, then chances are your Voodoo ain' gonna work.

Hhmm...what did I write....ah yes...

The 1.5 volt restriction applies to Intel i845xx and i850xx chipsets only.

SiS Pentium 4 chipsets, and all chipsets for AMD processor systems are not quite as strict with the AGP voltage requirements.

Your Diamond Monster Fusion should operate in your A7S333.

Even more confusing is the fact that I couldn't get my old voodoo3 3000 AGP to work in my parents' computer( ECS K75SA Mobo)...... wierd.
