I'm assuming the light corner box that says domestic use only is for stamps? Or do I need to flip the box inside out so it doesn't display this message

No you can't. You'll either be refused at the counter, or you'll have to cover up/black out any trace of it being a Priority Mail box. The box itself is for domestic use only.

AFAIK they use the domestic express envelope for international instead of having a separate envelope

I used to flip them inside out, but it seems that they've caught on and have PRIORITY MAIL printed all over the inside of the box now.

If the question is whether you'd be breaking the postal service's rules, then the answer is yes (Even if you flip the box inside-out).

If you're asking if they're less likely to catch you if you flip the box inside-out, then the answer is also yes.
