Can I use a switch in place of a hub?

My 4 port Ethernet hub died. Its hooked between the cable modem and two deviced, a router and a internet webcam. Each has its own IP. I pay for two IP's from my provider. It assigns one to the router, and one to the cam.
Anyway, can I just use a switch in place of the hub? Do they work the same? Its hard to find Ethernet hubs, so I thought a switch would work?
The webcam is internet ready with its own ip assigned. Using the router and doing the port forwarding on the cam is not an option.

Hubs have been replaced by switches so go ahead and use one. Switches do not assign IP Addresses so you should be fine.
