can I use a sloket to get the cvoltage below 2.0 when the mb doesn't support it?

howdy all,

my dual board does not support cumines because it can't provide any voltage less than 2.0V (at least, that's what Iwill told me).

what would happen if I used a sloket with adjustable voltages to get to cumine levels?

are there any other reasons why a motherboard couldn't handle cumines?

Thanks,

BB

if the mobo doesn't support the specific voltage then it won't work...

well you can just grab an MSI, Asus, Abit, Iwill, and Tekram Slotket, that all gives you voltage adjustment.

What motherboard do you have? I have the same problem with my Asus P2B-F. I've scoured Asus, and the newsgroups, It's still murky because some P2B-F's were built with a voltage regulator that would do the 1.65, while others were not

I've got an Iwill DBL100

Andylawcc-I'm a little confused by your reply. no, my motherboard does not support cumine voltages, but are you saying I can just use, say, a sloket !!! to get the correct cvoltage?

Normal slockets like Andy was referring to do not have onboard voltage regulators, the voltage adjustment on them is simply a signal to the mobo, not the voltage going to your CPU. Iwill or somebody announced a slocket with an onboard voltage regulator but I don't know if it made it out of the lab.

oh, I see what you two are saying. so I need to be on the lookout for a slotket with an onboard voltage regulator....

Thanks for your help!
