Will that work with a Celeron 1.7 p4based (400mhz FSB but its extremely "neutered" at 128k) that is also sokcet 478?

I know it sounds stupid, but other mobos mention their compatability with Celeron.

Thanks

Can't find that model on Biostar's site. Maybe they're ashamed of their contraband VIA chipset ;)

I know, one of the reivews also posted that it seems to not even exist!

But its for my uncle who wanted the biggest "bang for the buck" and somehow thinks a 1.7Celeron is faster than a 1700+ (I tell you they are lying! It isn't 1.7 Ghz!)

Then again he is pretty cheap, he just asked me if he drives to newegg (we are about two hours away) if he could avoid paying tax :p

But back the thing - why does this motherboard not even exist!

Oh dear. Well, I'm sure you've tried to show him the light, but if he's just going to do typical Internet/card-game stuff, I suppose it doesn't matter.
