I just bought a new LCD monitor and bout a used Omni View? Classic KVM Switch-PS/2 (4 Port). Should it work ok with a LCD monitor?
Also I was just thinking do they make some kind of splitter for audio so when i switch back and forth between pcs I will have sound with both pcs? I didnt think of that till now.

Thanks!

Belkin's SOHO KVM switches have a speaker/mic switch. (Also a USB switch.)

You can switch the LCD as long as you are using an analog signal. I haven't seen a DVI KVM switch yet....I'm sure they are comming though!

I tried this with my 1800fp flat panel, but the text is a little blurry for some reason. I'm even useing the shielded video cable.

Not all KVM switches are created equal! I've noticed a large difference between models and brands. Some are really lousy at switching vid signals.

the belkin line are supposed to be "better" then the cheapo ones, but I guessits not the case. I rally can't stand having to keep my CRT around...but oh well...

I use a Belkin to switch for my LCD with no problem. I did have problems until I switched to premium (read expensive) cables. One of my cable lengths is about 15 feet which seems to require premium cables.

what brand cables do you have? where did you get them? I might need to pick them up, I have super high quality shielded cable but they don;t have the right female end connection that goes into the belkin, so I gues I would get adapters.
