Hi guys !! I am interested in buying a laptop (ASUS N70SV-X1 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/...?Item=N82E16834220529), which has 4GB of RAM, and comes with a 64-bit version of Vista. My problem is that I want to use 32-bit Vista on it, since more programs are compatible with the 32-bit version. So is this possble ? Can a 32-bit OS be used on this Laptop ? If yes, would there be any cons in doing this ?

Thanks in advance for all the help :)

Yes, but you should really use 64 bit. It's really compatible with damn near everything...

I haven't encountered compatibility issues with 32-bit software on 64-bit Windows, unless we're talking about drivers for legacy hardware. There's no reason not to run 64-bit Windows on a new system though.

Oh, if you do want that laptop, make sure you can get a free upgrade to Windows 7. I don't know if the Egg is offering that. It will save a lot of hassle and expense when October rolls around. You don't want to get stuck with Vista.
