Can I upgrade Win2K Pro to XP HE? Is it an "upgrade"??

I see in the FAQ:

<< What OS's Can I Upgrade to XP Home?

Windows 98 / Windows 98 SE / Windows ME
>>

Does this mean I can't upgrade Win2K Pro to XP Home Edition? I'm running Win2K Pro now with a 3 Gig NTFS Windows partition, 25 Gig Fat32 Program and 11 Gig Data pertitions. Any problem with this?

I'm still undeceided if I want to go to XP at all. I dont see a whole lot other than the new look that it gets me. All the big Brother stuff is not very attractive. It seems you don't lose all that much in HE Vs the Pro version. I dont run dualie setup, so that doesn't matter to me.

According to all the published reviews I have read, if you are running W2K, and it does everything you need, then you gain nothing by going to XP, and you would actually be downgrading going to the HE because you would lose a lot of your security and remote access capability. But . . . those things are not very significant to the average home use.

About the only "benefit" would be different eyewash, and for some people that means another learning curve to climb, albeit it a small one. In your situation I would probably not want to waste the $100 and jeopardize a system that already runs as well.
