probably not. p2's use uh.. slot something, secc1. well, anyways, they cant support p3's and amd. im not going to bias you about my processors so heres my route:

1) intel -> 700e->933+ on cusl2-c board, crucial cas2 133 mem on alpha heatsink or better.
2) amd -> 1ghz axia -> 1.x on a7v133 board, crucial cas2 133 mem on thermoengine or better.

this is your first post? ur not a junior member!

you can upgrade it to the highest possible p2, which is p2 450 i believe and p3 picks up 500mhz. good luck. depending of course, on mobo.

I believe this is his first post in this forum as in specific forum e.g. CPU, DC, FS. Anyway, if your M/B supports the 100mhz system bus, you can upgrade to a lower end P3. Make sure it is Slot 1 and works only at a 100mhz FSB (front side bus). I think a P3 300 does work at 100mhz, so you should be ok. Send me a PM before you upgrade though, just to make sure.

I had a Packard Bell PII 333MHz system. The CPU's manufactured before June of 1998 are multiplier unlocked. I bought a Soyo SY-V6BE+ for $40 (including shipping) and was able to set the FSB 10 103MHz and the multiplier to 4.5 for a total of 464MHz. I don't think you'll be able to get much more out of it.
