I am running Win2000 w/ sp2. I have a Voodoo3/2000 AGP. I upgraded to Directx 8 from 7.x and everything has been crap since. Is there any way back other than to reinstall the OS? Thanks!

I believe I've heard of certain hacks which can do it, but if I recall correctly when I installed DX8 it said Microsoft does not provide any way to downgrade/uninstall.

youre most likely going to have to reinstall windows. Even if there are hacks that do it, the result will leave your comp's settings in a mess. It is extremely difficult to completely wipe out something that runs as deep into your computer as Directx

If you had been running Windows 95/98SE or something then you could have used DxUninstaller to uninstall any version of DirectX safely. But with ME, NT and 2000 you cannot use this program and if you wish to downgrade your DirectX, you will have to re-install the OS..Regards
