can i turn my tv into computer's monitor?

I wonder if any of you with tv video cards can comment on this -- is there the capability to turn a regular tv into your computer's monitor? I was thinking of putting a computer next to the tv, and it would be nice if I could have just one monitor there.

Yes you can but the output will be horrible. Imagine 640x480 on the screen ..

Yeah, you just need a video card with an S-Video out jack, but like SyahM said, the image will look like crap because of the low resolution.

There is a reason that they make monitors instead of just having us use our telivisions. It is an option, but not a good one.

Like the others said. It does look bad. You will not hardly be able to read text.

Unless you want to output to HDTV or one of those plasma TVs. That might look sweet. I'd like to have one of those HDTV plasma babies haning on the wall in from of my desk.

yea what thy all said it would look very bad. not a good idea though i watck dvd's on my tv usng the tv out on my GF3 and that looks very nice. the tetx and icons in windows look verb bad. THe idea of having tv in to your comp would be nuch better for you
