Can I test PC3200 in a PC2100 system? Something I ordered is DOA.

I ordered an IS7,2.8 P$, and 512 x 2 Geil PC3200 ram. One of these items is DOA because I cant get it to boot at all and I've tried EVERYthing. Can I test the ram in my system that is designed for PC2100 to see if its OK? Should I change any voltages or anything? The PC2100 mobo is Soyo Dragon +. Thanks guys!

You should be able to put the PC3200 in a 266Mhz system to see if it works at all, with no adjustments. It won't prove that it runs at 400Mhz, but it will prove or disprove that it is defective or not.
