I want to get a new phone for my voicestream service... I have a nokia 3390 and im thinking of getting that samsung R225 phone. I get to keep my existing sim card right? and when I put it in the other phone will I have all my phone book entries saved?

about your phonebook, it depends. Most likely its stored on the sim card, but with the "high" end phones they are often stored on the phone itself because it offers more features and more storage space.

yeah don't worry about switching SIM cards.

i also use voicestream and i also had a nokia 3390. the 3390 stores everything on the SIM card.

I put it in my new Samsung Q105 and everything's dandy! :D

the R225 is a sweet phone, btw! nice and BLUE!

Unless you are getting the new phone form Voicestream I believe it has to be unlocked. For Instance if it is a Cingular phone you can't just stick your SIM card in it. You'd have to get it unlocked. I think that is how it works atleast.

You can select where you want to store the phone book. On the SIM or in the phone.

YES! It's possible to move. That's the beauty of it.

depends on the sim card, some have only 4kb space and some have more, 8kb 16kb or 32kb.
With my nokia 6510 I cant choose if I want to use features such as two or more phone numbers to a name or an address or something else.
