I just got an x2 6000+ and the temps I'm getting are not too good. Can I take the IHS off to get better temps or is it epoxied on? I did this on my older cpus upto my 3600 brisbane and it worked like a charm. thanks in advance.

Uh, you took off the IHS on your Brisbane? Crazy. Aren't those things soldered on? The X2-6000+ should have a soldered-on IHS which is rather difficult and dangerous to remove.

Honestly I think you'd be better off just lapping the thing.
