Can I take my z2300 and 2 more speakers from another z2300 and make a 4.1 set?

How would I do that? Split the cable from the sub, or would there be a way to connect it to the sound card so I can use 2 as rear speakers?

I have two full sets... i know i could just do full 4.2, but i don't actually like all that much bass (plus one of the 2300s massive subs under my desk is taking up most of my footroom).

Ideas?

Dang. That'd be by splitting the connection out of the sub?

So i can only get them to be rear by connecting them to the second sub and hooking that into the rear output? I'm assuming they need the sub connection for power?

Let's assume we want two speakers stacked on each side, like so:

L...........................R
L.......your head......R

With L and R being the left and right channel speakers. Just plug the speaker wires from BOTH L speakers into the left-channel output of the amp, which should be on the sub somewhere. Same goes for the R speakers.

You can, however, use both 2.1 for a 4.2 (really it's 4.1 since it's only a single channel of LFE). Send the fronts to the front 2.1 and the rear to the rear 2.1.

Er, correct on both counts, I think.

Hmm.. so now I just need to decide if it's worth it before I open the box (and can no longer sell it as NIB)

I wonder if I could find a sub from a 5300 or 5500 for cheap
