Can I take Claritin when I sleep? Edit: Looks like I can

I have a nasty head cold and I took benadryl last night but I don't seem to sleep well when it's a forced grogginess that bendaryl gives. Will Claritin keep me from sleeping though?

I usually take it when I'm sick to dry me up. I've never taken Claritin before this afternoon so I don't know if it'll keep me from sleeping tonight.

Edit: Thanks Zhou

Tylenol PM?

Same stuff as in Benadryl but maybe a smaller amount?

Or, Nyquil?

Claritin doesn't bother me that much and doesn't help w/the allergies much either. :frown:

Alavert made me drowsy but worked.

I'm on prescription Allegra now which the Dr. said not to take before I go to bed or I won't sleep...or won't sleep well.

That's why I asked about the Claritin. I didn't sleep more than a half hour a night if I took Allegra. I took the Claritin with a decongestant (Psuedophederine Sulfate) and it didn't seem to negatively affect my sleep. At least my ears are somewhat unclogged now. Driving with clogged ears sucks.
