Can I take an Xbox 360 on the plane with me?

My awesome family got me a 360 for Christmas after they learned of my efforts with the whole Amazon.com incident... Gears of War r0x0rs!!!!

Now I've gotta fly back on the 4th and I'm wondering if the airline will let me carry on the xbox, say in a backpack?

I checked mine in when I got mine for my birthday. I padded it all around with towels and it arrived safely.

They will probably make you take it out of your bag and put it in its own bin like laptops...but i'm sure they won't care.

make it into a laptop with a battery & screen, wired controllers... and play that thing on the plane.

It wont matter. i take my computer as a carry on all the time andi dont have to take it out of the bag

that would be soooooo cool if I did that. A 7 hour coast to coast flight is not fun!
