Can I swap these PSUs?

I currently have two rigs.

Rig #1:
Asus P5W DH Deluxe
C2D E6600
8800GT
2 HDs
Seasonic S12 500W

Rig #2:
Asus P5QL-E
C2Q Q8300 (just added)
7900GT
1 HD
Seasonic S12 380W (which is probably cutting it close - at the time I bought the PSU, the rig was a hotburst 478 Deleron with a 6200...)

(no overclocking on either)

Now, after adding the quad core CPU to #2, I want to replace its video card with a 5850 or 5770 (still can't decide which). I'm guessing the 380W PSU would never handle those.

So, my question - can I swap the 380W and 500W PSUs and have both rigs running happily? Or do I need to buy a new PSU for #2 so #1 can keep its 500W?

I've been looking up specs and stuff, it looks like my 500W only does 17A and 16A on the 12V. Is that really good enough for a 5850?

Yes, if you aren't overclocking it is fine. If it is like most Seasonics from that era, it actually is a single rail unit advertised as a dual rail unit.
