Can I stream audio TO my phone?...

Hello all,

New to Anandtech! I recently purchased an LG 3d Home Theater system. It was ok but not exactly what I needed so I returned it and purchased a Yamaha RX-V675 reciever.

One of the very neat features I did enjoy about the LG was something called "in private" audio. This allowed a reverse stream of anything being processed through the system to be played back on moble devices such as ipad/iphone/android devices. This is VERY usefull when trying to watch a movie or listen to the radio and everyone else is talking or somone is trying to study.

As robust as the Yamaha is it will not do this as I can tell so far. I have tried every function, read the manual, and searched the internet. 🙁

I was wondering if anyone might know of a way to I can do this thru an App? I can use either an Apple or Android device as both are common in my house.

So to clarify I would like something that actually streams Audio to a phone/tablet instead of the uber common stream my device to my home theater system.

Any assistance is GREATLY appreciated!

Chris

if the receiver doesn't support it, I think a pair of wireless headphones would be the simplest solution.
