(Posted this to the OS forum, too, but figured that, being SETI-related, it might get a better response here. Hope nobody's offended by the cross-post.)
My wife I share the computer, often using the user-switching option in XP. So I'd like to have Windows start up SETI (and Powerstrip too) before I log in, so that they can always be running but not create a duplicate process when we switch users. Is this possible? The startup folder only runs after login. I found some info about adding a "Run" Registry Key to HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion. But these seem to work just like the Startup folder - the programs that were already there are owned by me in the Task Manager. So it looks like they also start after login. Any tips?
