can i split a fat32 partition into two smaller ones?

i have my windows partition as 4gb, mostly empty, but i'd like to make it into 2 two gb partitions (essentially creating one out of the empty space and leaving the other half alone) so i can mess with winlite installs. any easy way to do this? i have it formatted in the fat32 format

I think partition magic can do it....

Parted ( http://www.gnu.org/software/parted/parted.html ) if you don't mind using a command-line utility.

As long as you have 2gigs free, all you need is a tool that can resize partitions. Defrag first, then shrink the original and create a new one. I'm sure the above mentioned utilities are fine.
