Can I SLI an 8800GTS 512 and an 8800GT?

I just bought an 8800 GTS 512 since the price looked pretty good at the time.
However now I am looking to get audio output via hdmi to my plasma TV. I was thinking I could find an GTS that does hdmi audio output and SLI them, but I have not found any brands that do so. I did however find an 8800 GT from ZOTAC that does audio.

I'm wondering if it's possible to SLI the 2 of those together despite the difference in universal shaders. I know if it's possible I would be limited to the GT specs, but it would provide the audio I want and should still be faster than a single GTS albeit not as fast as 2.

No, SLI requires two cards of the same type. They don't have to be the same brand, or even the same speed (one can be a factory overclock, and the other not), but they have to be the "same" card.

Nope.

nV isn't nearly as flexible with their SLI options as AMD is with CF.

sigh that sucks. I was hoping since the boards were so similar it was possible.
Guess I either have to resell and go for a 9xxx or wait to see if someone starts selling a GTS with audio.

no they can't (as stated by everyone above me.) and nvidia even had SLI released first over crossfire. and now crossfire has surpassed sli in compatability and scaling (in some)
