Can i slap any fan on any heatsink?

questions above, before someone here recommended buying just the heatsink (Thermalright or thermaltake Sk6+), so can i just buy a panaflo fan and stick that upon the heatsink? (and how do i do that?) for an AXP 2100, 2400, 2600?

if i get a thermaltake xaser III (with the fans, supposed to be 21dBA) how do i calculate how much CFM and how loud it will be?
or if i get a watercooling system (koolance) i'll still need fans for that too right?

you can slap any decent fan that fits onto it. just make sure it has a good CFM so it will cool your CPU. I use the Delta that came with my SK6 it works like a charm.

You can also get a 80mm to 60mm fan adapter if you want to use a more quiet 80mm fan on a 60mm HS....
