Can I slap an old VooDoo2 onto an old Matrox Millenium 2MB PCI?

Yah, I'm the guy who musta fried his Matrox G450. Since this OEM turnaround is from 6 to 8 weeks, I tossed in my old Matrox and hey... it works just fine!
Now I got this old VooDoo2 laying around and I'm thinking of installing that as well. Am I asking for trouble? I never used this vd2 and I don't what to expect from it.

Go ahead and use it, that's what it's for.
BTW, how did the G450 fry? I had mine for 7 weeks. Hope mine won't fry

Go for it, and if it was 1997 you'd be king of the hill! The Millenium/Voodoo2 combo was THE hot setup back then. State of the art 2d and 3d.

hah, run q2 at most...passthrough is just bad for video signal.. wouldn't install it if your worried about 2d quality.

You know it! That is what I was running. Eventually went to an SLI. 3 slots for video. Times have changed.
