Currently installed Win98se and Win2k on my system. Both OS run the same version of IE and Outlook Express. File system is Fat32 on both partitions.

Can I share the Inbox Folder so that I can view all my emails in either OS? If so, how?

Any advice appreciated.

Well... In Outlook Express you can go to the Tools | Options dialog, select the Maintenance tab, and click on the Store Folder button to tell Outlook Express where to store its message database. You really want to be careful about this because when you do it, it asks you a question about whether you wish to use the existing message base or not. If you answer wrong, it'll write over the old data with a new empty message base. Anyway, this is a per-Identity setting, meaning that each Outlook Express Identity will get its own storage area. If you are using multiple Identities (I do this for archival purposes.) you may find it easier to create a special directory structure for this with names that make sense to you and identify the Identity with which the storage folder is being used. Windows uses these cryptic alphanumeric names in curly brackets.

I haven't tried doing this with two different operating systems. I don't foresee any troubles, but if I were you, I'd set up a test Identity in the Win98SE installation of OE and in the W2K installation of OE. I'd send / receive some test messages, create some subfolders, all sorts of stuff like that from BOTH operating systems -- just to be sure that this wasn't going to be a self-farkling proposition. I do know that it is NOT a good idea for two different users to try to simultaneously use the same store folder from different installations (like on a LAN). Outlook Express wasn't written for that type of use, and it will fail under those conditions.

Hope this helps.
