My wife decided she wanted Windows XP on her computer. I bought a OEM version of Windows XP Pro and installed it on her computer and two days later she wanted to go back to Windows 98. She activated the XP Pro. Can I legally sell this software are am I stuck with it? Women!!!!!!!!!!!

if you can wait for 120 days after the date she activated it then you should be able to put it on another system & activate it again without MS giving any hassle or queries!

Did you configure it back to look like win2k...which somewhat resembles 98...Try that, see if she likes it! hehe

Any knowledgeable person wouldn't buy an activated XP. Maybe if you found a dumb one...

Even at the 120 day mark, it will only allow 1 or 2 changes, so installing on a complete new system won't work.
Why would anyone want to go back to 98? Just use the Classic Desktop mode to look like 98/NT.

Yeah, if it's the new look and feel she doesn't like, I'd suggest using the Windows Classic theme. Then she'll have the stability of XP, along with the look and feel of a Win9x/2000 machine :)
