Hello everyone,

Can I run a Samsung 512K PC2700 on my ASUS P4B266? Is PC2700 memory backward compatible to pc2100 standard which is the stock ram speed of the mobo? If so, would I have better results doing this than getting a 512 Crucial PC2100 stick and then overclocking or am I just wasting money by doing this.

Also, is samsung memory's quality comparable to crucial's stick?

Thanks for any help you guys can give me.

Yes.

No unless you run the board at the 132FSB. However if the prices are almost equal buy the PC2700 for future upgrades.

Yes if it is the original Samsung PCB.

I was curious about this also. Would the P4S333 take better advantage of the PC2700? Id like to get a 512mb stick of Corsair but like the P4B266 board better. What do you all think?
