Can I run Memtest before installing Windows

When I finish assemble I plan to start the system, make various bios adjustments, then reboot with the Memtest disk and let the system run for several hours. Is it ok to do this or do I need to install windows and setup the harddisks first?

Yes, you do not need to have windows installed to run memtest.
