can i run HIS HD 6790 1GB FAN on fujitsu siemens m460 workstation's power supply???

its an branded power supply from fujitsu workstation m460 called NEWTON POWER LTD model= NPS-400AB B rev 05.

ac input 100-240v ~8A 50-60hz
main output +5v=26A max, +3.3v= 24A max, +12v1 =15A max(18A max 10sec), +12v2=15A max(18A max 10sec), -12v=0.5A max, +5vaux=2A max.
max continous output power is 410w.
max combined output power on =+3.3v &+5v is 190w.
max surge output power is 470w for 10 sec

that PSU had one 6 pin connector built in and the above mentioned GPU also required one 6 pin connector.

my pc:
fujitsu siemens workstation m460.. D2608-a1 mainboard.
core 2 quad q9550 2.83mhz
4gb ddr2 800mhz ram
500gb 7200rpm seagette barracuda
dvd writer
floppy
sd card device built in
3 fans. 1 for hdd. 1 for GPU. 1 for processor

m not going to overclock anything i just gonna run my GPU n CPU on STOCK clocks

and i dnt have money to buy myself a new power supply :(

so the above mentioned specs of the PC n PSU is good for running HIS HD 6790 or not??? plz let me know guyzz.... thanx in advance :) :)

I think so, that video card I think would pull about 85 Watts when you are stressing it under gaming, and not overclocking?

So will your other components use up more than 300 Watts? Doubt it, so you should have enough to work with.

If you want, buy a kill-o-watt power meter, you plug it into the wall and watch the wattage consumption real-time so you can be careful not to exceed the 400 W.

But, if you want more info, google how much power your core 2 quad can use when not overclocked, it can't be 300 W?

thanx for your concern...... i know it... my q9550 takes 95 watts at maximum 100 percent load but lets take it 100 watts maximum without overclocking..... and that card takes maximum 140 watts @ 100 percent gpu load... and 50 watts maximum for mainboard fans and rams etc and 20 watt for HDD i guess... still its 310 watts and i still got 100 watts left... so what do u thing should i give it a try??

That poor quad running at 2.83 is a 7 year old ancient ..... We need to first slap you with a SSD then a 3570k. That GPU is not even a gaming gpu , its for workstations of people at work....... That will give you a solid 4fps in Crysis 3 , gl
