Like the title says I have a couple of 5770's that I would like to run in crossfire on an P5N-E SLi motherboard(nvidia chipset). Is this going to be possible?

Not sure. However, even if you could, you would be severely bottlenecked. If you have the parts, go ahead and try it!

The NVIDIA® nForce® 650i SLI™ is the NB according to the sheets.
if memory serves me correct, it was during the mid of the Xfire / SLI war, which cross partners didnt want to let us scale cards unless it was on their own terms and own motherboard chipset.

The Intel counterpart was the P35, which supported Xfire... and hacked SLI drivers.

Intel eventually strong armed NVidia to give up SLI starting offically on the P45 line and on...

So in best regards id say no.... xfire might get tricky to setup correctly... if your not tech savey, id suggest u not attempt it.

Well first off I'll be running a Xeon X3210 with a 1066fsb. Not sure how much of a bottleneck that will be. Yes it is an sli motherboard and if there is a way to do it I'm sure i can. Trouble is I'll be selling this rig to someone who isn't that tech savvy so if it's going to possibly cause that person trouble in the future I may want to choose another motherboard. I knew about the war between ati & nvidia but I'd hoped we were beyond all that now and that drivers would fix any problems.

Ugh, that board.....good luck. Very picky in what hardware it likes to operate with lol.
