I have a mobo with integrated ATI HD 4200 graphics and I want to run another dual dvi PCI-E card to have 3x DVI total.

I run Win7 right now.

Any issues with this setup?

thanks.

Yes you can. Another ATI graphics card for sure. Nvidia maybe, but maybe not. In theory in Win7 you should be able to run hardware from both vendors, but whether the integrated chip would play nice is another matter.

ATI SurroundView™ Technology
ATI Hybrid Graphics technology enables ATI SurroundView™ which provides support for 4 independent monitors when an applicable integrated graphics processor is combined with a discrete graphics processor. Each additional discrete GPU supports 2 or more independent monitors. Experience superior productivity with ATI SurroundView™. The integrated graphics processor and the discrete graphics processor work in parallel to drive multiple displays.

There's an option in your BIOS called SurroundView that should be turned on, it'll keep the onboard video active even when you have the discrete card in, so that you can have the extra video output from the onboard for an extra monitor.

thanks. would the primary display be the pci-e card or the onboard?

You would actually be able to choose that in Windows but pre-Windows (during bootup) it'd probably be determined by the 'Init display first' setting in bios which should have IGP/ PCI-e/PCI as options.
