guys i put an xp 1900 into a computer i built for a friend with an epox 8k7a motherboard.
i had it running at the 100mhz bus (1.2ghz) and gave it to him and then realized i had to change the jumpers.
i had him change the jumpers and it's running at 1.6ghz but he says the manual says it only goes up to 1.2ghz. he told me that after he put it at 1.6ghz and it is running fine at 1.6ghz.
does anyone know if i can run at 1.6ghz on it or if i should tell him to put it back down to 1.2ghz?
edit : epox's site says the 1900+ is fine or the 2100+ is fine if you have the latest bios update. has anyone had any problems running fast chips on this board?
