Can I run a higher core voltage

I am upgrading an older PII system by adding an adapter (frequently called a Slotket) that allows the usage of a socket 370 (FC-PGA) CPU in a slot 1 board. The adapter allows for setting the core voltage with a range from 1.80 to 3.50 volts or auto detect. I assume the auto detect would have the same range as the manual settings.

I would like to use a Celeron 733 or 766 (66 Mhz) with a core voltage spec of 1.75. Can the adapter be set to the 1.80 volt setting without any negative consequences on the CPU? Would this over clock the CPU by a little?

Thanks,

Mark
