I have a sis645 mobo, can i pop in a 533mhz fsb northwood in there, and then overclock the fsb to get 533mhz fsb to run the processor correctly? My mobo supports 133/66/33 operation, but it doesn't officially support it.

Well, I havne't heard of any 533mhz FSB athlons. 🙂 If you mean northwood, then the answer is probably. The 645DX is the first to *officially* support the 133fsb from the SIS camp. I have heard of people flashing the P4S333 which has a 645 with the bios from the P4S533 which has a 645DX and it worked fine. You would need to provide more details on your system.

LOL! Yep, i meant northwood. Well my sis 645 mobo most definitely can run as high clocks as a sis645 dx, just the dx officially supports 133. I noticed that when my mobo is set to 133fsb/ the agp is set back to 66 again/ and the pci is set back to 33 again. And then i get new memory ratios (ie. 4:3 & 4:5). Looks like it could, but how would it handle a 533mhz fsb northwood on boot? Could it read the processor multiplier correctly as to allow me to manually set the fsb?
