Can I run a 19" monitor off of a 4 mb integrated video card?

Sorry if this seems like such a lame ass question. I have a 19" monitor and just picked up a cheap computer running a 4 mb integrated video card and wanted to know if I'd have any problems running it off this video card. I'm not much of a gamer, besides, this pc wouldn't handle much as far as gaming anyway.

Thanks again,

Sal

I don't see a problem. Maybe the refresh rate supported by the cheap video card wont be enough, if anything. I also wouldn't expect much more than 1024x768 in terms of resolution.

That's ok.. I can live with less resolution for the time being. It's better than having to try and track down a smaller monitor to use with this system.

Thanks!

unless it's some wacko 19" that doesn't support lower resolutions or lower color depths, why not?

it should not be a problem.

tube size is independent of the card. but resolution, refresh rate and bit depth depend on the card.

you can't do much more than 1024x768 without loss of image quality probably.
