Check with your vender or msi. I once broke off a socket tab when removing a heatsink, but the vender still took it back (within 30 days). I wouldn't go into too much detail; just tell the vender it doesn't work, and hope they will rma a new board within a reasonable time. It took me 4 weeks to get a new board from abit (but that was around christmas, and they were closed that week). You may want to go ahead and order a new board and sell the replacement when they return it.

I buddy of mine cooked his new A7V133 and it was obviously his fault when playing with the jumpers trying a first tome big OC. I told him to try and return it for rma as he would have nothing to loose! As it turned out Asus did rma it and pretty darn fast to. His goof was my gain as he couldnt wait for the rma return or word if they would even rma it and went out and bought another board. They did rma it and I am using the new one at a very small fraction of the cost of retail :)

I would clear out the BIOS, via battery removal, if you were o/c just in case, since it voids warranty on the mobo to, i think......
