I still havent decided what to do with my 360 controller I bought recently (see this thread).

I was wondering if I opened it if I could still return it for a refund. I would use a razor blade and make a very clean opening in order to remove the controller, then tape it back up.

Does Walmart except this or are they strict with returns on something like a console controller?

Oh and if you have an opinion on if I should keep this or return it for a Controller S, please post and WHY! Thanks :)

I bought a remote control car from walmart... ran it for a few days, bashed it into a wall a few times, and had scuffed it up a bit. Then I found another RC car I wanted instead on Woot, so i took it back to walmart... the problem was my cats had found the box while I was away, and had ripped the plastic part open, teeth marks through the whole thing, general chaos.

So I packed it up and brought it back, I wasnt impressed with it, and thought Id see if i could get a refund. Lady never asked a question, refunded my money... then when I got home I found I had left another part out of it when I returned it...

Doesnt seem like they have a very strict return policy.

hell, I returned an HDTV antenna that I opened, spliced the wires together to make them longer and then decided that it did nothing for my signal.

I returned an electric shaver whitout the box, manual and cleaning brush. No problems whatsoever... As long as you have the receipt.

Fixed. If you open the plastic before you leave the counter and attempt to return it right there, the best they will do is let you trade it in for 30% of the price they will sell it for.

Has anyone else been baffled by why they call themselves "gameSTOP" instead of like... "gamePLAY"?

err, because its a stop? a place to stop at for games? A game depot, a game station, a train station, a train stop, gameSTOP!

Guess I'll open it to try out. Might even decide to keep it if I like it a lot, or hell even if somehow they didnt accept it then they just made my controller decision. :)
