Hello all,

I'm curious if I can use a Dell serial number to retrieve the original specs for a system. If this is possible, what is the website?

yes go to support.dell.com

log in

and you will see place to enter service code and I think that's what you are looking for. 😀
 
there is a service tag number on your dell that you can enter at the dell support site. it'll give you the general specs.

Ooops I meant service tag when I said service code.
 
Ahh.. so it is the service tag number. Do I have to create an account with Dell to use the service? I tried looking for a link on the support home, but I don't see it. Thanks again!
