Hey all, I just snagged a Dell GX270 from work that I was going to reformat and setup as my new home pc. Problem is that there's a known issue with these mobo's. The caps blow and failures are pretty common. So I was wondering if it's possible to just replace the mobo with a nice, stable aftermarket unit so that I won't have to worry about losing my info when this takes a dump down the road. It's an Intel 865G chipset in the mini-tower. Mobo look likes just like this one...MOBO
I'd love to just find something I could drop in with the same back panel setup, or even close to it, and just swap all the other parts over. I've been out of the upgrade scene for a long time, so I was hoping you guys could help me out here. Any chance of this happening?
