I've got an MSI K7T-PRO2A and have reason to believe that I may have a corrupted BIOS. I may attempt to flash the BIOS, but there's a chance the computer will lock up during the flash and ruin the BIOS chip. If this does happen, would I be able to replace the BIOS chip on my own? It's not soldered in (pic below).

They make a special tool for that but you can also very carefully remove it with common tools. Most important is carefull handling and inserting the replacement in correctly... put it in backwords and you will see smoke.. If your system has bootblock you may be able to reflash yours with no problems.

Yes, if the bios chip is not soldered into the mobo, it can be replaced. Always pull the chip up evenly on both ends, and make a note of the marking so you can install the new chip with the correct PIN 1 the PIN1 on the socket.

If you take your time, a IC extraction tool is not needed.

It's your BIOS chip, I would have to say you would be out of your mind to not spend the $1-$2 on the little puller tool & do it right.

Actually, you can get that tool in a lot of PC Repair kits. I have two that pretty much come with everything you need from a screw extractor, 4 screwdrivers, the chip extractor..etc. You should be able to find one anywhere from $5-20. I've never spent more than $9.95 on one. :) But, as said above...you can pull it out, just do it very carfully and be sure not to damage the socket or the pins... Damaging the chip is one thing, but damaging the motherboard can be a little more costly depending on what you're running.
