I've had a problem with my MB not posting so I'm going to get a new one.

I was wondering if there is a way for me to remove the heatsink, fan, chip all at once so I do not have to add new compound or do anything else to it?

Also can someone provide insight or steps to actually removing these things.

Thanks

nope, you can't. When the heatsink is on, you can't access the chip release lever. So you will have to take off the heatsink seperately first, and even if you could, being able to keep the two of them attached tightly enough together without damaging either is unlikely.

As for the removing of the heatsink, hit any manufacturer website and you should find installation procedures.

Here is one with pics: http://www.thermaltake.com/support/installations/coolers/volcanos.htm

I'm feeling confident yours will attach with clips in the same manner as shown. It will be pretty tight and you'll need to apply some pressure with the screwdriver. Don't be afraid of it, but on the other hand don't slip :D

Well, you could just get a pre-built P4 system that uses a thermal tape on the bottom of the HSF and pull the heatsink away hard. Seems to work every time for me on our work P4 box (sigh)
