Just wondering if I can use my mic and line-in jacks on my MoBo with WMP9. I'm trying to record things from my scanner (the radio kind) as wavs or mp3s. I tried using sound recorder but it's got a limit of 60 seconds. Seems it was designed for 486s and never updated to record more as mem/power increased. I wanna record RTC<-->Train conversations and defect detectors my local CN subdivision..

Can it be done, or is there a way to record from Sound Recorder for more than 60 seconds?

thanks!

Someone else suggested using Movie Maker. Works for me. Is there a way to get a visual representation of the recording with the squiggly line? There's a lot of dead air and I'd like to be able to skip right to the spots with radio traffic going on but I don't know where they are without seeing 'em. Kinda like the Sound Recorder playback feature. Dunno if this is possible or not but it'd be handy to have.
