can I put data on a CD-R?

Clonecd makes duplicates of existing cd's.

if you already have a cd with data on it, clonecd will copy it. You cannot make a data cd like you would with nero or cdrwin.

You can use CloneCD to copy a CD to CD-R. It should work on most CD-ROMs....all but the very oldest CDROMs can read them.

Sure you can but it's a one way trip. there is no way to change/update/correct or mess with the data files once burned. but they will last for a very long time. That just covers the title question

ok thanks. i am running low on CD-RWs, but i have more CD-Rs right now, so i thought i would try copying 2 CDs onto the CD-Rs. I dont want them to be able to be ereased so i guess the CD-Rs are good for this.
