Can I put an LED fan on my SLK900U

I know that I can put nearly any 80x25mm fan on it; however, I was wondering if I could put an LED fan on it and still get all the cooling benefits?

Any suggestions on a really good LED fan? Something besides the Thermaltake smartfan.

The only effcient CPU cooling fan that I know of that has LEDs is the one you mentioned the Thermaltake Smart Fan II with LED Mod.

Most LED fans are designed to be case fans and have low CFM and dBa. I can't seem to find any other LED fans that have decent enought airflow to put on a CPU.

You can try it, but from what I can find, the cooling on most LED fans would not be recommended on for cooling a CPU, I'm sure someone disagrees but this is my personal opinion, I have the Smart Fan II (no LED MOD) and its a great cooler for a 80mm fan with decent dBa levels, so if you go with that one you should be good as far as cooling goes.

I am able to get a decent O/C with the Smart Fan on full, XP 2500 @ 2.3 gigs (11.5x200)

Other then that, I can't seem to find a LED fan with decent cooling.

What kind of CFM should I be looking for in a fan if I want to do minor overclcoking?

preferably 40+ CFM

I have LED fans for both my rigs. My server rig has an 80mm Coolermaster Purple Quad LED fan on a Theralright AX-7. Temps are 48-52C under load. And the fan is super quiet. In the main rig I have a Red Quad LED 120mm fan from SVC.com with a Zalman CNPS-6000Cu HS. Load temps here top out at 50C. Here the fan runs at about 1500rpm via the FanMate. So, from my experience, unless you are a fanatic about having your CPU under 45C or something (obviously, I am not. Stability is king, not the lowest temp possible), LED fans are just fine.
