Just wondering if I can use Win NT to play games. I am thinking to install it on my old P 233 system. Please lmk.

You can, but not every game around. And prepare yourself for a no-rush gaming experience...

The highest Direct X released for Windows NT 4.0 was Direct X 3.0.

There is a hack, to where you can get Direct X 5.0 installed in NT 4.0, but I think it is more trouble than it is worth.

I don't think so, as NT4 only has some DirectX "foundations" - something like DX3. You can't update it either :(

unreal tournament works fine with nt 4. at least is does for me when i'm using my voodoo2

OpenGL games work great on NT, it's MS DirectX that doesn't. More of MS' forced obsolecense.

I played every verson of quake on NT 4 without issue.
