can i play age of conan?

here is my system, im looking into getting a new video card but im not sure yet.

Windows Xp 32
gigabyte nforce570sli
amd x2 5000+
3 gigs ocz pc2 6400 DDR2 ram
evga nvidia 8600gts 256 video card

should i upgrade my video? and to what? I was thinking about getting a 8800gts 320mb for 100 bucks, is that a sufficient upgrade? Thanks

It might be okay; people have been maxing graphics out with an 8800gt though, so depending on how you want it to look it might be worth an upgrade. Get it, see how it runs, and maybe by the time you decide or save up a bit the next gen of cards from both sides might be out

What resolution are you going to be gaming at? I think the 8800GTS isn't worth the extra $100 to upgrade to. I'd save your money or look at getting a 9600/9800GT. I'm playing AoC with a 9600GT and have everything about midrange except the shadows (off). Plays respectibly well (40-60FPS daytime Tortage @ 1680x1050)
