SPST Slider Switch

I basically need to know is can I go like Power Source - LED Strip - SPST Switch - LED Strip? Due to cable management and aesthetics, I'd like to place the switch in the middle of the circuit, but I don't know if this would result in something like only half of the strip turning off, or something even worse.

Thanks.

Answer is no. I spent like half an hour rigging up a way to test it. Huge waste of time, but at least we all know the answer.

Half the strip was always on, the other half was switched on/off.

That's good to know. Thanks for putting in the time and effort.

OTH, perhaps it depends on how it is wired. Here is a commercially available circuit found at Ace H'ware. As you can see, the switch is in the middle. This is a useful tool where you want to control power at a convenient place that is remote from either the wall plug or the appliance. I use it with a UPS.

QFT...if you wire it right; it can go mid-circuit.
