Can I password protect a MS Access 2002 file?

Basically I have a MS Access database file that I want to password protect. I have Win XP and was wondering if this can be done w/o 3rd party software. Thanks now and later

just open the database file that you want to password protected using 'open exclusive' command in access 2002, then add password to it..
