Both chips are certainly overclockable. However, you have to take into consideration what sort of motherboard you have the chips plugged into (does the motherboard have PCI/AGP locks, does it have good overclocking adjustments for voltage and FSB settings?).

Plus, you'll need to have a decent power supply, and good cooling goes a long way. As for guides, I think several users around here have some, I just can't remember which. I'm sure someone here will be able to help you with a guide.

If you're good with the above conditions, you'll have ideal chances to overclock to close to your chip's max. What is its max? Nobody knows. It's different with every chip, as overclocking is never a consistent or guaranteed thing. I'd say your XP3200+ should get about 200mhz though. Your sempy I'll have to guess at 400mhz.

you arent gonna get too far with a 3200....generally anything from a 2500-3200 will often OC to roughly the same...generally 2200-2500...u need a good board (like DFI Lanparty Ultra) to reach 2.5+....get good cooling and crack the FSB up...with some good memory...(BH5 preferably)

I think my XP3200 Barton is Locked, the only think that seems to work is turning up the FSB, I changed that from 200 to 204 should I try higher ?

I have 2 nForce 2 MOBO's for both chips.

ok I turned thr FSB upto 210, is this safe with stock cooling?

says my CPU went from 2.2 Ghz to 2.31 Ghz at Ram went from 400 Mhz to 420 Mhz or 200 Mhz to 210 Mhz.

Should I go to 215 ?

Most XP Mobiles don't like anything over 210. There are excellent guides on how to unlock it. Then, you can just overclock using the multiplier.

what are your system specs? do it in small steps and watch for instability. vegitto he said nothing about it being a mobile, i beleive it is a desktop barton 3200 which is multi locked.

Like hclarkjr said, carry on increasing the FSB in small steps, watch for instability and when the temp's start hitting the 70's under load you might want to think about stopping.
