Overclocking this card will not give you any improvement. Buy another one for Battlefield. ;)

I remember playing Battlefield 2 Fine with a Radeon 9200 128mb AGP8x Card and a Athlon XP 2800. You just have to run with lower settings at 800x600. Overclocking that card is pointless as they never did overclock well.

The Radeon 9200 128mb was my first dedicated video card. :)

Kinda depends on the rest of your system. If you have at least an Athlon 64 you could get a 3850 (fastest AGP card released yet) and not be too bottlenecked. If you're running a P4 look around and see if you can find a used 6800GT, those were fast back in the day and should easily handle BF2.

Otherwise spend about $300 or so and do a full system upgrade and pick the PCIe card that suits your needs.

AFAIK the Radeon 9250 used the same core as the old 8500, and as such was only DX8.1 capable. That means no DX9, and in particular no SM2.0. Overclocking isn't going to overcome that limitation, even if the bottom-of-the-barrel 9250 was an great oc-er (which it certainly isn't).

OP's old A64/AGP system is capable of playing older games (DX9.0c) with the help of a gfx card upgrade - not to say it's worth it at this stage buying AGP (OP may be able to find a used card at a sensible price).

Edit: for grammar.

1. Upgrade the memory
2. Get a used GPU. You should get at least something equal or greater than the ATI 9800 Pro (these are cheap these days...).

a high end AGP card will probably require you to upgrade your PSU since they would need a 8pin connector.

HD3850 AGP 8pin PCIE
